Slim Jeans

For context I have purchased 6 pairs of these jeans in the Black Rinse color and my review is specific to Slim Black Rinse. At first I loved these jeans, hence me basically purchasing one for every day of the week-- however these do not hold color that well, and this is me wishing with only black clothing, cold water, with oolite for darks detergent, and drying on "normal" cycle (not high heat); additionally these wrinkle fairly easily and even when hanging up immediately after drying they need to be steamed diligently to be worn there-after. Going to attempt to use black garment dye to continue wearing these as I purchased so may, however if that doesnt do the trick unfortunately going to have to retire these as I don't care for the color they lose and overall energy needed to make them work. (Also wish the hardware wasn't that brassy tone color, rather silver)

These jeans are a PERFECT fit! I love them so much. They are super comfy and fit just right in all the right places! Everything about them is just right, even down to the color. I will definitely be trying out more of their products!

Bought two pair (black rinse and medium wash) in identical sizing, but the pants are no where near the same. The black pair is almost an entire inch longer in the inseam and much wider through the leg in comparison. Even the feel of the material is even slightly different between the two.

I’m split on how to review these because the blue pair are exactly what I’ve been trying to find for a long time now (which is great!), but the black pair almost feel like they are a different pant altogether. I understand some manufacturing variance from lot to lot, but this seems extreme.

These pants are almost perfect for a short guy with thicker legs like me. Almost. I wish there was a little more taper at the ankle. The bigger issue I have is that the belt loops could probably fit 3 thick belts inside of them. It just makes the silhouette a little weird.

Took a risk on what seems like a new company and I'm happy I did. The quality of the jeans is better than I was expecting for the price. Just the right amount of stretch too. I'm about 5'8" and have never been able to buy jeans and have them fit without getting them hemmed first. It almost brought tears to my eyes haha. My wife likes them too.

I like how they fit the taper is perfect.

The jeans feel and look great, but I underestimated the length I would need. The waist feels true to size. I plan to exchange for the 28 inseam. I definitely want to try their other jean styles as well because these jeans really do feel like they fit my proportions better than most other brands.

Finally found a pair that fits my physique

Great color wash. Not too dark, not too light. And the length was perfect. Could be a just sightly wider overall. Still slim and not skinny, but was hoping for a little more room.

As a 5’3” woman I took a chance on these jeans. I couldn’t stand the fit at my waist and length of women’s jeans. These are so comfortable that I got 2 more pairs! Guess I’m a short queen.

Thighs to baggy

The black slim jeans are great around the waist and the perfect length. They’re just not quite as slim and stretchy as I had hoped. They’re feel more like classic denim jeans and that’s what they are, so no complaints.

I have been used to wearing jeans that just fit as close as possible for years. At 5' 6", it was never easy to find jeans that fit well. When I first put the Abbreviated jeans on, I thought they didn't fit right. It took me a minute to realize that shorter rise and no extra material bunching up around my shoes meant I was finally wearing a pair of jeans that actually fit me!. I will be replacing all of my jeans with Abbrivated.

As a 5'8" tall guy with thick thighs, jeans can be tough. My way through for many years has been to buy slim jeans for the taper, size up in the waist, and cuff a 30in hem down to 28. I was excited to try Abbreviated after being introduced to them because it's nice to find a brand that has a reliable 28in hem, but I find they're not perfect. This is probably for a couple reasons:
1) Most jeans brands give an extra inch on top of the size in their waistband and I expected Abbreviated to follow suit. These jeans are true to size in the waist, so that's on me I guess.
2) The slim jeans are meant to fit a frame that slims from the waist, not the hips. They're straight through the hip, tapered through the thigh, and then straight below the knee. This is complimentary for skinny fellas that want jeans to follow the lines of their body, but those of us that need a tapered jean because we have a working-class ass and thick thighs are either going to have to deal with being snugged up through the seat to calf, or size up and belt a larger size to get some extra room, knowing that it'll end up a little big around your ankles.
I think if I had my way I'd ask Abbreviated to add an athletic fit option with an extra two inches in the hips that then tapers all the way through the thigh and calf, down to the ankle.

Usually wear 31-33, the 32 do not have any stretch and are for sure a snug fit. Would get 34 next time.

It’s rare that I can buy pants that are short enough off the rack that don’t need to be hemmed, but these fit perfectly!! They’re short enough!! And I have a really short inseam.
