Product Design & Development Manager

Full Time - Hybrid - San Francisco, CA

Abbreviated is a fast-growing ecommerce brand making better-fitting clothing for shorter men. We serve thousands of customers each month and are looking for a Product Design & Development Manager to help build and scale our product line.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys both design and execution. The right person will own product development while working closely with the founder on product design and assortment.

You’ll play a key role in bringing new products from concept through production.

What you’ll do

• Own day-to-day product development
• Manage the process from concept to production
• Create and maintain tech packs and product specifications
• Coordinate sampling and product revisions
• Communicate with manufacturing partners and vendors
• Help shape the product assortment and future product roadmap
• Work closely with the founder on product design and iteration
• Maintain organized product documentation and development timelines

This role is intentionally hands-on. The right person will be comfortable executing development work directly while helping refine the overall product offering.

Who this role is for

• 2–6 years of experience in product design or product development
• Experience developing apparel products from concept through production
• Strong familiarity with tech packs, sampling, and size grading
• Extremely detail oriented and highly organized
• Strong product taste and design sensibility
• Comfortable working in a fast-moving startup environment
• Easy to work with and able to collaborate closely with a small team
• Self-directed and able to operate without extensive structure

Compensation & Benefits

• $90-110k base salary depending on experience
• Default 4-day work week (Monday-Thursday)
