Twill Overshirt

I'm 5'6" 160lbs - Med

The fit OTR (off the rack) was nice. Where you'll notice it most is in the arm length and that's about it. The rest of the garmet tallies up to a pretty standard men's medium. This measurment for most 'short kings' is where you get what you're paying for. Nothing kills a fit or versatility of a shirt more than loose, bunched up fabric at the forearm and cuffs. Tailoring arm length cost more to do than hem jobs because to do it right you have to take up fabric at the shoulder points. So in a way, you could say that the price of alterations is baked in at this price point. Construction fits the same rational. Clean, generous top stitch and no loose fraying from being stingy with stitch count. What kept this from a 4 or even 4.5 review was the fabric quality. For an overshirt design and price this at least could have been an all season brushed twill. Would drape better, enhance the fit and have more life after several washes. At the end of day, you can go this route or fine something off the rack in a nicer fabric and take it to your tailor.

Great shirt that actually fits

I am finally seeing how important fit is. Not only that, but their clothes are also stylish.

The color, fit and construction are spot on! This is definitely going to become a wardrobe staple for me.

Perfect fit and good quality

Overall, I’m glad I purchased the twill overshirt. The sizing is spot on - not too big, not too small. However, it’s quite stiff and not very soft. I’d love the overshirt more if if offered a more cozy feel, especially for the colder months.

Excellent fit!

Definitely has a more relaxed fit, so size down if you want something with more of a tailored fit. I went down a size and it fits perfectly, body length, sleeves, chest, all of the above. Material has a nice heft to it, and drapes nicely. The beige color is slightly more brown than it looks like in the images, which I appreciate - works well as a neutral.

Highly recommended! Super stylish with a decently heavy weight to it that gives a very elevated look and keeps it close to you without waving away in a breeze. Im a woman wears mens clothes and i can never find gender affirming clothes that fit me right until i discovered abbreviated. I have bought almost every item of clothing they have and i love the look and fit of all of them including this twill overshirt that goes amazingly well with their Tshirts.

I keep filling my wardrobe with Abbreviated! Love this twill shirt and have it in two colors. Can be casual, stylish, layered, or worn on its own.

Excellent fit. Torso length is always my biggest problem and this shirt is a great length. Truly never understood how big a difference good fitting clothing makes.

Fits well!

I got this shirt in shadow and it’s super nice. I like how it’s pretty sturdy but still lightweight since I overheat easily. Fits perfect over a t shirt and looks great with jeans. I’ve loved everything from this brand so far and will definitely be trying out more items.

I really like them, I bought two over shirts in cream and gray or shadow color and haven’t stopped using them since I got them. It feels so good when something just fits right. I love it.

Finally a shirt that hits at the right spot on my waist and arms. The fabric is structured without being rigid, and it’s nice enough for brunch out with my wife. I can see this being a “nice casual” staple for me now, and I’ll be getting the other color.
